Real usage

What people paste into Perplexity

The patterns we see most often once a team adopts Perplexity for real work.

  • Comet's agent mode reads the open page

Comet's in-page assistant pulls the visible content of the current page into context to act on it - a CRM record or a draft email included.

  • Long documents for a summary

Perplexity's research framing invites people to paste contracts, meeting notes and support transcripts and ask for a summary.

  • Spaces carry context across tabs

Comet Spaces group related tabs so the assistant has context across all of them - one sensitive tab reaches the whole space.

FAQ

Perplexity, common questions

Does NexusNest cover the Comet browser?

Yes. Comet routes its AI requests over HTTPS like any other client, so prompts from Comet's assistant - including the page context it reads for agent tasks - are covered before they reach Perplexity.

Can it help with Perplexity's consumer-tier training defaults?

Yes. Even if an employee never finds the account-level training toggle, PromptWall means the data Perplexity receives never contains sensitive identifiers or secrets in the first place.

Does redaction affect Comet's agent tasks - shopping, email drafting, and so on?

Only sensitive content is redacted, not the structural context. Shopping queries, navigation and generic page content pass through; personal data and secrets are replaced with placeholders the assistant treats as ordinary text.

What about the citations Perplexity adds to its answers?

Citations are sourced from the public web, not the prompt. Redaction only affects what leaves in the request - it doesn't change which sources get cited.
